ubuntu-gnome-desktop <\/em><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>When it asks for y or n press y and enter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allow this to install, the use command reboot to reboot the server:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">reboot<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Leave this a few moments to reboot then reconnect to the server and run the following commands:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">apt-get install xrdp<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>When it asks for y or n press y and enter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can not use root in the desktop so create a new user:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">adduser yourusername<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Fill in the new users data<br>Run:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">echo \"gnome-session --session=gnome-flashback-metacity &amp; gnome-panel\" &gt;~\/.xsession<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Install wine, this will allow you to run some windows apps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">sudo apt install wine64 wine32 <\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>When it asks for y or n press y and enter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now connect on RDP and run through the set up, it may want you to apply some updates, it may ask for an Administrator password, this would be the root
